The Dacha at Asthall
The dacha is a high spec, self contained retreat for two with its own verandah, garden and terrace. Escape busy lives and spend some time together. The dacha sits in the grounds of our Cotswold stone house.
EXPERIENCE
Explore and relax
The dacha offers a luxury break or longer in a beautiful double room. Whether you come for a lazy weekend, some therapy or a sightseeing tour, the dacha offers comfortable surroundings. Cook in the well equipped kitchen or visit one of the excellent nearby pubs. Enjoy use of the large hot tub during your visit. Two friendly Labradors are available for petting and our rare breed pigs are down in the woods to visit.
ACCOMMODATION
The dacha
A private space, light and airy in summer, but cosy in winter. Every window has a green view. Inside it is beautifully lit with lamps and spotlights so you can adjust the mood. The Superking Size bed, the squashy sofas, underfloor heating and beautiful lighting will tempt you to stay in when you're done walking or sightseeing.

Location
Asthall is blessed with the River Windrush and The Maytime Inn well known for its food. Situated in the loveliest part of the Cotswolds, walking distance from two good pubs and a short drive from others, Asthall is an ideal place from which to visit the attractions of the Cotswolds. The Windrush Valley is famous for riverside walks and cycling.

The space
There is hanging space in the bedroom and a large cabinet in the main room to store your things. A stylish walk-in shower room has a heated towel rail. The open-plan kitchen is off the main room. Eat inside or use the large table and fire pit/bbq on the back terrace. The sofa on the verandah gets the morning sun and is the ideal place to sit with your coffee.

Facilities
The underfloor heating is super efficient. The kitchen has a full-sized fan oven, microwave, small hob and fridge. The wifi is excellent. There is a large wall-mounted smart TV and a huge sofa for relaxing together. The dacha has evening use of a large hot tub in a private courtyard near the main house. Robes are provided. If you stay for a week or more we can add a small desk for working, as required.

While you are taking time out together you could rejuvenate your relationship. Couples Therapy and/or yoga/meditation. I am a BACP accredited therapist and yoga teacher. Please send me a message if you'd like to know more.

Outdoor space
The drawing room has French windows onto its own small garden. In the summer loungers are provided. The verandah overlooks the private garden and a paved terrace at the back for the firepit/barbecue with festoon lights. You are welcome to explore the five-acre main garden and tree house as well.
LOCATION
Surrounding area
From Asthall you can walk around The Rollright Stones and visit Daylesford, or head for the big names. Chipping Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway are all under 25 minutes away. Nearer still is Burford with its historic buildings, antique shops and restaurants. Woodstock, Blenheim, Bicester Village and Oxford are within easy reach.

Prices & bookings
The dacha can accommodate a couple or two friends. We only take two people at a time to preserve the tranquility of the space. We regret the dacha is not suitable for children.
We offer the dacha from £100-200 per night depending on the season. To use both rooms there is a flat £100 surcharge on the whole stay. There is a cleaning fee of £60 on top of the rental. For prices for yoga or couples therapy, please enquire.
