Your Venetian home
This grand old Venetian lady is furnished with original paintings, antique furniture and an eighteenth century chandelier. Situated in an elegant Belle Epoque villa (ground floor), she is a beauty.
Step back in time
Live like a Venetian. We are inviting people to come and stay here to enjoy living in an authentic Venetian home. Nothing is very valuable but it is all precious. The villa was built around 1890 and converted to apartments in the twentieth century. It is an ideal retreat from the furore of San Marco and crowded Venetian streets.
The villa
The spacious villa is incredibly light - luminoso as the Italians say - with high ceilings and original terrazzo flooring. A huge drawing room, generous double study, two small bathrooms, kitchen and the two available bedrooms give off the magnificent entrance hall. One bedroom has a Superking Size bed with ample storage. The second bedroom has a King Size bed but it is against one wall - very comfortable for a single person, less convenient (but possible) for a couple.
Situated in the loveliest part of the Lido, near good restaurants and food shops, this is an ideal place to stay to visit the attractions of Venice or for a beach holiday. Take the vaporetto to the heart of Venice from the boat stop just down the road. Equally, it's a very short walk to the beach. The beaches are open from June 5th - September 5th when the glamour of the Film Festival takes over the Lido

We offer the flat for 2 people for £1,100 per week (about the same as booking a nice double room in a hotel across the road.) For 4 people it costs £1,600 per week. All linen and towels, shampoo, shower gel etc provided.
The flat will be cleaned before and after you leave at no charge to you. We ask for a £250 deposit which will be returned to you when you leave minus any charges for breakages or dry cleaning.
We offer the flat for one, two, or three weeks at a time. We do not offer the flat for less than a week. Extra days charged pro rata.
Recently upgraded wifi, so you can take Zoom calls and watch Netflix with no problems.

Efficient heating and air conditioning throughout.

In the kitchen there is an excellent but old fashioned gas hob and oven, a medium sized fridge and tiny freezer.

There are two decent showers and a bath. The constant hot water runs off an Ascot heater so they are not power showers and the bath takes a while to fill.

Washing machine & tumble dryer.

Free parking on the street just round the corner.

The villa does not have a dishwasher or a TV.
Outside spaces
The villa is in a quiet residential street and surrounded by a private green garden with oleanders and magnolia grandiflora. The garden is shared with people in the other two apartments in the building but we never see them. The drawing room opens onto the garden. The kitchen has a door onto a small private yard with washing line.
Additional Information
It’s important to note that the public spaces are much grander than the private areas, a few of which shown in the photos above. If you'd like to see more photos of any of the rooms please do ask.

The flat comes with our sightseeing guide, developed over decades and our latest restaurant recommendations. There is also advice on transport.
